I just got a 2003 Lexus LS430 and use a Treo 650. I am trying to find the best option for mounting my phone while driving. I want to be able to charge the 650 and use my *wired* headset. I do not like vent mounts.

    Any thoughts?

Check out the vehicle mounting options from ProClip.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am leaning towards the ProClips. I also was looking at some of the solutions from Seidio, but I do not think that they have what I am looking for. I am wondering if there are any others that people would recommend.

I use Proclips with the Apple holder so that I can use it with my Treo in its case. The Proclips works very nicely once you get it installed at the right place in the dash. For awhile my mount was loose, now its very tight.

I bought the offering from ProClip and am very happy with it. The location is good, the angle is good (with the adjustable set) and, with the car charger option, I only need to plug in the headset and drop the phone into the unit and I am ready to go.

With all the bluetooth phones etc., I do not expect there to be a unit with a built-in headset plug, so I think I have found my solution.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

swieder, what exactly is the "Apple holder" you're using? I'm trying to figure out what mount to buy for my vehicle but I'd really like to keep my 650 in its case, & many of the holders/mounts I'm finding don't sound like I can keep it in the case.

If you go to Pro-clips website you will see a device holder for Ipods. This works great for skinned Treos. You can adjust the width of the holder which will work with just about any skin. You can also call them. They are extremely helpful.

Here's the Padded Adjustable Holder with Tilt Swivel. It opens to 3.2" wide so it should work with almost any case.

I ordered this holder & the proclip mount for my vehicle, but I have a couple of issues with the mount. It looks like it was actually made wrong, but in addition to that - if I use it, my Treo will be too low to easily see it while driving (for GPS), and it will cover up my rear defrost & hazard light buttons. I'm debating skipping the mount & just using some sort of adhesive tape to attach the holder itself to the dash - but has anyone had good luck doing that? I don't want it to fall off!

    Any suggestions?
