I have been graciously given a Treo 680 (Unlocked) to review - So I figured since this community helped me out so much, I would give back.

If you have any questions, about anything regarding the Treo 680 - ask! I will will put the little guy through the ringer, and post a full review here and on my site.

So what do you want to know?

I'd like to know if Softkick Audio Gateway works. This is an app that provides stereo bluetooth functionality via the A2DP protocol. Since Bluetooth has up-reved from 1.1 to 1.2, they may have broken it.

If you have Resco explorer, go to the ROM on the left column, hold the stylus on it so the menu comes up and select 'Info'. I'd like to know what the Storage space on this is, it should show up as used/total in kb.

Sweet! Could you verify that those values are for ROM and not RAM? Also, if you could get the RAM numbers that'd be cool too. thanks

Blazer is a lot better on the 680 than the 650. Today I spent ample time with Blazer, and except for a nice (bug) where after signing in to a website that you are brought back to the page that asks for your password (the page was cached) - have to refresh the page to see that you are logged in. It does quite well and is actaully quite usable.

I haven't had any apps on the 650 that haven't worked on the 680 except for BrightCam (says that it is the wrong version). There is no need for LEDOff as the 680 basically does all that LEDOff does. I am using FieldPlus and that works fine. The only other extension on the 680 I have is Treo vCard Receiver and that works just fine.

I would like to know if, in the contacts app, it is possible to have a pic of someone by their number? I know that Palm's done that since the E2 (roughly), but it seems like they took it out with the 680 because i can't see any screenies of it?

This is what the user manual says (I ordered my phone the first day and am still waiting for a confirmation email!)

3 Open the contact you want to add the
photo to (see Viewing or changing
    contact information).
    4 Select Edit.
5 Select the Picture box and do one of
    the following:
    • Select Camera to take a photo and
add it to this contact entry when you
    save the photo.
    • Select Photos and select an existing
photo that you want to assign to this
    contact.

Can you have individual ring tones assigned to each of your contacts without adding them to the speed dial menu, and if you can, can you set individual ring tones for the different numbers under the same contact? I know there are third part apps that already does this, but I was hoping the Palm OS would take this on. Also, can you use MP3s, WMAs, or WAV files for ring tones?
We are all dead, we just don't know it yet.
