    can you silence a ringer by hitting any of the side bottons vs. actually ignoring the phone call? you used to be able to do that on at least the 600 but could have sworn that they took it away from the 650.

    You can slide the mute button to the mute position when an call comes in. I think hitting the volume button mutes it as well. If my Treo was in my pocket and it suddenly rang, I'd squeeze the side and hit one of the buttons. That always worked.

    doesnt the latest patch of the 650 let you mute the ring by hitting the hard button on the side?

    Yes, the side buttons will silence the ringer on the 680 for the incoming call.

    Well that explains a lot of weird 1 ring calls!
