    OK, I have done an exhaustive search, so I apologize if this has been asked and answered somewhere.

    I just purchased a new Treo, and am going through the upgrade process (load the new Palm Desktop software, find user info, etc) When I got to the 1st Hotsync Operation, there was a pop up window that asked me:

    "Please enter the password for the handheld"

    I am on my 10th or so Palm OS handheld, and I have NEVER been asked for a password, nor have I ever set one.

    Just in case I have tried every password I have ever used (including zeros and leaving blank), but all I get is:

    "Invalid password - This handheld cannot be synchronized without a valid password"

    I have called Cingular, who in turn has called Palm...(wait for it).......The reply from both parties is that no one has been trained on the 680 yet since it has not been officially released (another story). Official support begins Friday - Helps me not.

    I am hoping someone here can shed some light on this since I am fairly certain that this is not a device-specific issue.

    Side Note: The only thing I have loaded on the Treo is Goodlink, and I have tried the Corporate passwords I use as well.

    Has your admin ever enabled password protection with Good?

    They did, and I had tried the password, but when I set up Good on my 680, I must have been off by 1 charactor in my password. I have it figured out now. Thanks for the PM's and again, thanks GoodGuy!!!
