Yesterday, every time I did *2, I was informed I "needed an update".

This successfully "updated" 7 times. Sprint advanced tech support (3 different people, 3 diff calls) "reset the towers...twice", tried to cancel the update, then told me to go to the sprint store for a hard wired PRL update.

    The store says none existed.

I even had tech at the store discuss with phone tech.

So anyway, they had me do a hard reset (answer to everything I guess)...and said I wouldn't need any update.

I still dont know if I needed one, got one, or just got blown off and bypassed for one. Just curious...I just care that the phone works.

I pretty much had the same thing happen w/ the 20224 update

Well, minus talking to Sprint drones.

What I found was that moving to another area of my valley caused the
update to go. Note that I had perfect signal at my home, but for whatever
reason, the PRL update wouldn't update.

You will KNOW when the update actually works because you'll get a few
popups on your Treo screen about it.

I just did a *2 and it said that my phone needed updated. It went through the update without a hitch although I'm not sure what was changed.

    My PRL is still 20224

In the phone application go to Menu>Options>Phone info and then scroll down to the second page. You'll see "PRL Rev:" followed by a number

    And, Happy Thanksgiving

When I do that, there is no number at all behind PRL, its just blank.

    Does that matter?

Your phone must be powered ON to see your PRL version.

My PRL is 20221. Called *2, spoke with the lady who asked for my mobile number and then said that no PRL updated was needed. Comments?

    Comment: She is an *****.

Call back and request that your account be flagged for a PRL update. Keep calling until you get a Rep who will do it for you. MOST Reps should be willing/know how to do it...but maybe I am giving Customer Service TOO much credit. Just my 2 cents!!!

I have tried to force the prl update using ##3282#, but the number never changes from 10029. How do I get it to change to the latest?
