    Yes folks, it's here!

    Start Here, Free!

    How it works

GooSync.com Beta is an over-the-air synchronisation service for GoogleCalendar.
Just hit the sync button on your mobile device to synchronize your GoogleCalendar and the calendar on your mobile device.

    - Create your GoogleCalendar
    - Create your GooSync.com Beta account
    - Initialize the sync from your mobile device

Funny, I was just wondering this morning when the google calendar was going to be synced with the palm.

    Thanks

Seems to work nicely. I wish there was a way to (a) schedule the sync and (b) select the calendar to sync (seems to select the "user" calendar...).

    Just did it.

    go to website;
    Create account..
    install app

    setup account in palm app.
    and Sync.

Just checked my google calendar, looks good and up to date..

The only reservations is, you have to give the site your google login account credentials.

It's free, but .....where do they make the buck?

That's my concern. I'm not too keen on giving a 3rd party my google login.

I'd rather see a google mail hotsync conduit or OTA sync native app.

It looks like they are planning a "subscription-based" set of services with additional feature in order to make money.

how about syncing all PIM apps to google? It would also be nice if we could have a web based word processor & spreadsheet like google as well. Google are you listening?

Hmmm....it doesn't seem to take any of the reoccuring or repeating events in my calendar from the treo and put them into google calendar. That sucks.

I can't get the Palm link. It goes to a screen that says "Installing Client software for PalmOS.

The file you download will be a .zip file containing a .prc file. The .prc file is the installation program for the client, this file must be installed onto your device.

But I can't find the zip file.

All the way on the bottom of the page, in very light lettering, there is the "Download now" link...

Bottom of the page where you're reading that text.. Downloaded no problem here. Maybe you need to do it on the PC, it was a javascript type link.

I see someone else beat me to the punch.. ;-) So I'm wondering if this will work with ScheduleWorld.. hmmmmm..

i'm interested to hear everyone's reviews on this app. i've been planning a google sync app as my next project. my app wouldn't require any middleware, ...just a bidirectional sync directly to your google calendar.

    Moxsi

i'd be FAR more interested in a direct sync with google calendar than this third party site.

So would other people, I'm sure.

    From the site...

    "Google Credentials
    Login Name:* YourName@YourDomain.com
Password: * The Password and Confirmation Password must match.
    Confirm Password: "

Kills it for me. Google tied to paypal, tied to ebay, tied to.....
    well you get the idea.

    Nice idea though

Google is tied to PayPal? erokay....

Anyway... My biggest issue is that repeating events don't show up on the google calendar at all, only the initial event. I have 6 repeating events on my calendar at work, some a few times a week, one of them at a different time due to conflicts, etc.. Not very useful for me.

windwalker is probably referring to Google Checkout, which would tie the two together.
