I'm a registered user now using TP 7.5 build 001 on VZW 700p.

When I dial from the Dialpad I get no touchtones (DTMF). How can I turn them on?

Also, I'm used to using the 5 way to scroll horizontally through my speed dials (or favorites) but now it scrolls through the various views (redial, call log, find, etc..) instead. How do I go directly to page 2 or 3 of my speed dials?

    Many thanks,

    David
You mean dial Dtmf on a call, or just hearing them locally ?

On the second issue - go to "Buttons and navigation" prefs, and change the options there.

    Shimon,

I am using TP 7.5 050 along with previous versions. A new problem has cropped up. Whenever i use TP to start my contacts (Key Contacts) it resets. If i open Key Contacts from the Palm screen all is fine. this started in the 7.5 ver 03x or there abouts. It worked in previous versions just fine.

    I am trying 056 now.
    Hi,

You can not use KeyContacts to "Open" a record, since KeyContacts use a different database for contacts.

    Hi and thanks, Shimon.

Yes, I mean hearing them locally when dialing from the Dialpad. In Buttons and Navigation prefs I don't see any choices that affect what one hears when entering digits.

    Am I missing something?

My past experience has been that "dialing" in Dialpad has produced audible tones ("touchtones", DTMF, no?) just as when dialing in Phone app.

    Be well,

    David

You probably had TeleTone installed ?

Or there was a file that included the DTMF wavs you could install on your device, but I cant find it now (to my big shame).

    I will check it out.

If you have Butler (and you should), you can set it so you use the s key to re-enable the touchscreen during a call. That way you can lock the screen from the call prefs.

    Shimon:

    No, never heard of TeleTone...?

When you dial in the phone app you hear tones generated by the Treo; I guess you're saying that TP can't or doesn't access those "internal" or "native" Treo tones?

Don't spend too much time on but I'd love to understand it.

    Be well,

    David

True - I cant access those.
There used to be a file to be installed with TAKEphONE that had the wav resources in it. Cant find it. Maybe I will generate a new one when I have the time.

    Hi,

KeyContacts uses it's own contacts database, hence the "Open contact" from TAKEphONE can not work.

I Don't agree since it work for years. Here is my config.

From the speed dial page you press the "Contact button" Key Launch is set to prompt you to open the Palm or Key Contact database.

It works on the 1st try but the second time i open Key i get a reset.

    when i do a #*#377# i get a Key Launch Fatal Exception.

As i said, this is new (v03x) and only occurs if i do this from TP. If i do this from the Palm dialer (press contacts) it works fine.

If you're using KeyLaunch, then it may be a problem with their code - I dont know what theyre doing that may collide with TAKEphONE.

Have you contacted the developer/s ?

Is there anyway to change the color of the cursor? I installed a new background which is white and I can barely see the phone number I put in.

any word on the bluetooth icon?

I don't remember this always being a problem...

Also, what happened to my Call Details button in the Call-Log screen? All I see now are filter/unfilter, with no easy way to get to the details screen...
