or maybe we can have control on which color the selction bar is...?

    Hi,

It's in the skin. I will release a skin kit soon.

Sorry for such a basic question. I'm trying out TAKEphOne and I really like it. One thing I'm trying to figure out is using it for my office voicemail remotely. Do you recommend using the calling card feature for this? Or is there some other way that you think might work better. Once I call the number, I need to enter a mailbox number, then a password.

I don't expect you to write code for me - I can handle programming the code in the phone - it's a great, simple interface, btw - I just want to know which feature of TAKEphOne would best handle it.

    Thanks!

You should try programming a speed dial with pauses (select "do pauses" under the Treo prefs). You'll have to experiment to allow enough time for your VM system to hear the tones.

Robogobo - Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Can't wait to give it a try.

Personally, I got 2Dial. Take a look at it. (http://shsh.com/products/)
I set mine up for work v-mail, Verizon v-mail, banking and even for refilling my prescriptions!

I even have a screen I set up as my "speed dial" for work, and I have it jump to "sub-screens" to navigate the automated menus of the vendors I call. Others are just set up to "auto-navigate" to a particular department/person. That way I don't have to have dozens of entries in my contacts for a single company.

I think it could use some improvement still ... but that's another post. By that, I don't mean to say there are any bugs I've found, it's just that I can think of a few things it *could* do as well. But then ... I think it would be great if it were integrated into TAKEphONE as the speed dial.

    klatham -

I will take a look. Thanks. I don't think my contact needs are as complex as yours. But the prescription and vendor menu automation are giving me "2dial envy", I have to admit.

I noticed today that the Calendar line shows items that have been "struck" by DateBK6. This is (obviously) somewhat confusing. Any chance TAKEphONE could ignore struck items??

    thanks

    Hi,

TAKEphONE uses the same code as used by the built-in PHONE app for that.
To do what you ask, I will have to copy the code & functionality from 2day.
I will probably do that, but not sure when.

    Hi all,

    Version 7.50 (005) posted at www.shsh.com/beta

    - Bluetooth: added menu option to toggle Bluetooth on/off
    (shortcut-B).

    - 5way navigation: fix for allowing access to email & sms icons
in "Find" screen when "Show speed-dial if search empty" option is on.

    - i-Bar: if SMS button is pressed (on Treo devices) when an i-Bar
button is highlighted – it starts an SMS message (unless that button
    is set to "Prompt…").

    Thanks.

Thanks. I would sure appreciate it if you would.

I love that 2Day completely groks DateBk-isms. It would be very nice if TAKEphONE could as well.

    Thanks

    Shimon,

Using the built-in skin (Dark Blue), I notice when my phone rings, that same blue blackground shows up making the numbers kind of difficult to read. This isn't an issue with the other skins I use. The normal background shows up when the phone rings. Any insight into this?

This is using TP 7.50 v004

    Hi,

Afraid this is a limitation of the way I implemented the background color skins. I am still trying to find a way around it, but for now it's a (sad) given...

Too bad - I really like the skin. With some quick testing, I notice it's somewhat intermittant, so I'll live with it for now. Thanks for the quick response.

I find it unlikely (normally I'd say nearly impossible, but given the MR weirdness ...) that the new "Treo700p_-1.10-VZW" (note the underscore) update would cause this, but ...
TAKEphONE will only use two skins: The "built-in" and a custom skin I made. The other installed skins do not work when I select them. Instead I get the "built-in".

Everything else on my Treo seems to be working just fine (including the fact that the 3000 errors seem to be completely gone!)

I've restored all of the TakePhone's PRCs, databases and skins from 3 different backups. No difference. I am about to start reinstalling stuff from scratch (just TakePhone ... I've already done *one* hard reset today, thanks)

Where/How are these skins stored/selected? Should I be looking into problems with the TakePhoneDB, saved preferences, or perhaps the skins themselves?

    Hi,

If you see a skin in TAKEphONE prefs dialog, then it should work.
    Do you ?

What version of TAKEphONE are you using ?

I installed 007's prc OTA to my 680 over version 005 and TP crashes upon launch with a Fatal Exception - every time. I've gone back to 005.
