With takePHONE 6.5 and my Treo 650, I was able to use Outcall to dial numbers, etc., by pressing option-phone, and not assign the phone button to takePHONE.

How do I do it with a Treo 700P (my new phone)? Should I upgrade to the latest 7.0 beta?

I don't know if this is new for 7.X or the same as the old version. It is a little annoying though. The other day I called my brother using Takephone. Then I went into Takephone to update his office phone number while I was on the phone with him. When I was keying in the digits, DTMF was being sent over the phone. Should this be happening when editing a phone number? It doesn't seem like it should.

I'm guessing it's supposed to happen just like if you were on a call to an IVR system that expects DTMF entry.

Seems kind of weird because I was actually editing the phone number. I would have thought that if I was editing a number or something that there wouldn't be any DTMF.

    Hi,

    This should work.

Please make sure Option+Button does launch TAKEphONE, the go to OutCall
in prefs, disable it, then re-enable it.

    That did it. Thanks!

BTW, how stable is the recent beta? Will my old serial number still work with it?

A WM5 version for the 750 and HTC Tytn would sell like hotcakes. Especially the HTC TyTn and Cingular 8525 which have a very poor dialer....it would be THE must have app.

just in case you are curious.

    Shimon,

So are you just ignoring my post about the DTMF when editing a phone number?

how about a way to take the last number used, and edit it before dialing it again? helpful for dealing with wrong numbers...

    Hi,

You mean when you dialed manually ?
When you return to TAKEphONE, you should have this number
    in the "FInd" view.

Backspace and you can fix it.

yes, you understand what I am talking about.

for whatever reason, when I hit backspace, the entire number is deleted

    Shimon,

I've noticed a similar issue. When I place a call and then go back to the TAKEphONE Find screen I can backspace and delete single digits. But if I try to type in any new letters or numbers it wipes out what was there in the Find screen previously and starts over.

    I don't recall this happening with 6.50.

    Hi,

This is intentionally, and has always been there.

Allows you to start a new search without needing to CLR previous.

Also, I have a few clients where everyone's number is one or two digits off from each other.

If there was an "edit before redial" option in the details, that would be slick

Or, let's say I just hit the copy button, when I paste it into the dialer, I can only Cancecl, Dial, or Save. I would like to be able to edit, then dial
