    True.

I decided the time to implement this is better used on adding other features (taking into account that you dont change prefs every day...)

I might rearrange the prefs section altogether in a future release, that will include 5way support.

    Hi,

    It might.

Can you try running for several days without it, and then without TAKEphONE, and see if the resets occur ?

    Thanks!

    One more thing, thanks...

i have green button set to initiate call (treo 700p).. if i hi-light name mike and hit the green button it just opens up the details of the person, even if the only thing i have set to name is one number, can u just hit the green button on the persons name and it dials number if there is only one number, rather then having to take another step and scroll down to the one number that is on there? same thing happens when u press the center button rather then the green button, just opens up details.., maybe center should open up details and green should dial the name u select, if only one number is programmed to name, if not then it opens up for u to choose......but highlighting only fields that have a number present

when u hit either green or center it opens up detail but doesnt highlight the number u have inserted.. it just starts on top and u have to scroll down to lets say mobile before u can make the call

allot of unnecessary steps... u think ....?

i do not have under preferences, allow location swap before dialing checked off

thanks again for all your time and support on this product

Anyone know what the blue arrow means next to the bell with your sound level, when i push it it takes me to default phone application and opens up phone preferences....

I love this program, though the menus could use a little cleaning up/simplification and I wish the "voicemail" icon was easier to see. Glad to see that the beta is still actively being improved!
Treo 755s in good condition available on ebay for $50-$75. No need to pay for insurance or buy a Pre.

    Hi,

I tried the suggestion of dialing right away if there is only one number, but it confused people - they did not know what to expect when pressing the button - will it dial ? will it display details ?
Found it's better to act consistently.

BTW - when you are in a record's "Details" screen, highlight a phone field and select Menu+S to select the default phone field.
Next time you open the "Details" screen the selection will e there by default.

maybe leave the center button alone, center button will open details and if u have use green button to make calls (treo 680 & 700p only) checked then the green button will dial the number directly, the default number, instead of opening details, as already the center button does

i was able to select the default number like u seuggested and all works ok the next time i go into number... the only issue is having to setup all the numbers now, lol

Tried that, too (for the i500 at the time).
Users claimed they got confused when using the green button - they often did not remember which was the default phone.

Let me put it this way - no sense in making green button dial the "default phone" right away - if most users are not aware there is such a notion of a "default phone" (as this is not a term used by the Treo).

Menu+x & Menu+v do appear in the menu (at least in the next build).
Menu+S is in the "Details" screen menu, too.

BTW - there is also a Menu+W (forwarding).

is there any chance of that redial when busy option to work on the treos..?

or is it just sprint which is not allowing it to happen

    I suspect it's a SPrint thing.
I will try to fix this later on, though.

Could it be a CDMA issue? I had the problem with my Verizon 600 and now with my Sprint 700.

It might be.\It;s all about how the built-in telephony reports events to 3rd party apps (if it reports at all).

The Treo 680 seems to introduce a bigger issue - it seems to let the built-in app handle some notifications (like BUSY) BEFORE they are sent to other apps, so TAKEphONE cant take over the treatment of busy - the built-in app first pops up the "Redial/Stop" dialog, and only when it's answered - the notification is sent to TAKEphONE !
