Has anyone else seen kinoma's homepage today?

    http://kinoma.com/

It says 4 PM PST, which is only an hour and a half away.

I wonder if they have had their new version of kinoma ready for a while now, and they are releasing it in response to CorePlayer...?

    Anyway, it looks interesting

I bought Kinoma Player 4 about 30 minutes ago. Their whole site is up except the front page.

It is nice, it offers much better streaming than the bundled 700p version. I am not blown away, but it is probably worth the $25 bucks. For all of the non 700p owners this is a must buy. You get everything available on the 700p's embedded app plus more.

I just tested it and YouTube works! You have to paste the url into the player, but at least they support cut and paste....

Does this run instead of the embedded version included on the 700p, when choosing a link in Blazer? And if you have Orb available, Can you stream TV from Orb for more than 10 mins, 5 seconds (the limit the embedded version plays before returning to Orb in Blazer)?
It is more important to affix the blame, than it is to fix the problem

Please test if the streams here work:

Kinoma will now open from blazer instead of the bundled version.

ORB works with 3GP video and with some of the Windows Media Streams (video). It works quite well with 3gp though.

Yep. Streams WMA, FLV, MP3, AAC. And now I can stop hunting for my favorite radio stations in New York and the UK. They are built in!

But it won't run from the SD card..

Can it stream WMA in the background and/or with the screen off? Can it stream Bloomberg?

Will it shut off the screen while it is streaming, like PTunes? If it does, I'll buy it today.

I agree that powering the screen off is essential.

I really wish there was a demo to try out.
