Was involved in a head on collision on 10-27-06. My 700P and I survived with a couple of bruises, but I don't think the 700P will recover from his
Funny thing is, besides the dead screen, everything else is functioning just fine. Knowing how to navigate the screens blindly sure has been a big help. Connecting the phone to a PC using PdaReach has been quite cool (2nd screenshot). Kudos to PdaReach. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Treo 700P

All I can say is Wow! Glad to know you are OK after that.

Did you check into the possibility that your auto insurance would cover the cost of replacement? I'm guessing that they wouldn't, but it would be good to know one way or the other.

Yeah, I checked, they won't because the phone wasn't something installed in the vehicle. So I'm out $50 bucks for the replacement, and I'm still alive to tell the tale I can live with that.

    Thank goodness you're all right!!
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Man, bad deal, glad all ended up ok. Phones can be replaced! Glad you had insurance, otherwise I know on the older Treo's you could replace the screen for like $150 dunno if that is the same for the 700, but regardless that is why you get insurance. Ya never know when ya might need it!

Yeah, I think so, when I'm at work I hook it up and don't touch the phone all day (except to go on smoke breaks, just so I don't miss a call or email).. PdaReach is the bomb
There's a 700P skin for it but it takes up too much screen real estate on the desktop (skin really needs to be in double size mode to be useable), so I just go with the Standard skin double sized.

VZW 700p, which could quite possibly be thrown out the window if it doesn't stop being a pain in the booty.
