Just curious what you think about it and if you have any issues with it.
    Thanks.

Its actually working on my 700p, without a problem(knock on wood) useally my Treo's & Toysoft don't get along, but for some reason Picture Dial & the latest LightWav have been working good.

It only shows the pictures you have to set for it, not the ones already in the Contacts db?

Just the one's you set, it would be nice to use from our database/contacts.

I've tried it out for a while... seems to be a step in the right direction but is too restrictive. If its running on your main screen you can't use your direction pad to check a sms message by clicking up to it... etc...

There aren't any lightweight programs that can do that, eh? What would be best would be like the contacts thumbnails view in Palm Desktop, which also let's you type to find. Pretty spiffy. Nothing like that on the Palm itself?

Good call. I like this app a lot better than Picture Dial. For $9 you can't go wrong with this one. Thanks.

But again, Photo Dial doesn't use the photos that are already in the Contacts database?

Photo dial DOES use the photos that you already have assigned in your contacts.

OH! I couldn't find that anywhere on the site. I'm so on this. Thanks!

Yes, PhotoDial does do that, that's what I liked about it. For some reason, I liked having my Quick Dials on the front screen.

I have vad picture dial for a few months...bottom line before I rate it...gets little use. It is much quicker to type 2 letters or using my preassinged key to dial, than open picturedial application and tap the face.

Granted, I do not have the ribbon view active (it slows treo down), I assing it to the green button using lodus (butler does the same); and, I do not paticular like having my closest friends displayed as a backgorund. As for managing my pictures for use, I have created a "caller id" folder on my card (hey its big enough), I resized them to make them smaller anyhow. This makes it easy to assign on the desktop for contacts, and on treo for picdial. Its a one time setup, no biggie. BTW, I did not know another app existed, but I checked it out and picturedial "looks" better.

As for the review, not many problems except: slows treo when ribbon view is active, occasionally a particular picture will reset the phone... only solution (so far) is deleting the picture.

Bottom line, you will not use past the "fresh" phase, then you will go back to typing two letters and dialing.
