Well, if I hadn't dropped it, I guess there would not be a problem. However those 4cm long straight 2.5 to 3.5mm adaptors do seem to provide a lot of leverage on the socket. Anyway apparently the board edge has been damaged, and whilst the technician was able to restore phone operation, he could not give me stereo headset operation. He did not have service data and could not find out where to pick up the left channel audio.

Does anybody have service data (schematics etc) of the audio part of the 650, or can they make any suggestions to rectify the problem as I really miss my stereo headset output.

    Thank you.

It's been long said that those straight adaptors are a REALLY BAD IDEA but apparently you didn't catch those convos.

Maybe you can work out an exchange or something.
