If you haven't tried TMP you are missing out on a great app. I've used it from it's first debut.
Do yourself a favor a download it you won't regret it. And the developer is very receptive to user feedback.

Great app! The most interesting feature is, in my opinion, hi-res icon support (categories).

I´d like to see calendar view with icons too. It would be great!

    God bless you!

I agree with the 24/7 folks when they gave it the Best Palm Application Award in 2005. After using the beta I was so anxious to get my hands on a retail version that I was disppointed to learn that I just missed out on being the 1st registered user but it's been my fav Palm app ever.

Now if we could only talk Simon into giving some other apps a bit more competition

absolutely it is compatible with the 650 and one of favourite apps too, just makes everything sooo much easier to input/organise....

I'd love a floating event, a la datebk or treo 600 calendar, though

Not bad, but still no competition for Datebook 6. Ben

    Thanks for all the comments.

TMP still has a good list of desired enhancements and I'd be the first to admit it is far from full-featured, in its present form. On a feature basis it does not (could not!) compete with the likes of DateBk 6. Personally, DateBk 5 was the first Palm app I ever bought and it was a big part of my getting turned on to Palm. I still think it is possibly the greatest Palm app ever created.

TMP appeals to the section of users (myself included) who like its ease of use, list format, smooth scrolling, UI configurability, and clarity. Many who like it, like it a lot and that's just super motivation for me to keep making it better... the users are a big reason TMP development is ongoing. I am well aware that were it not for users recommending TMP by word of mouth (this board being an example, but also on other forums some of which I had not even known about) -- well, I might still be developing TMP but not sure where the motivation would be coming from.

hotmar and RodStrod, thanks for those suggestions. I will keep them in mind, and I hope that doesn't come across as lip service. At last count TMP has had roughly 170 feature requests and wish list items. I log every request and keep count... the request count is a big factor (although not the only one) in my deciding which features to add at each update.

    Simon, thanks for the feedback!

Here in Brazil, many users are speaking very well of your software, as you can see in this topic.

Indeed, the unique layout with smooth scrolling makes managing meetings and tasks very, very interesting. The features added in the last release were also very important to increase the performance of the app, in general.

I will state that if I were not a Datebook 6 user, this application would be of serious interest. The interface and simplicity is good. Ben

    I would use it if I wasn't a Datebk6 + 2day user.

I tried a while back to run both dbk6 and TMP as I felt they did different things very well - but I ended up having to manage two calendars. Any way these two programs could share a single db?

    Cheers

    Hi Mark,

DateBk6 and TMP do in fact share the same db - the standard Palm Calendar db. You shouldn't be seeing two different calendars!

If you like, e-mail or PM me with specifics and I would be glad to help.

    Duh,

After I sent it I was sure they did share the same db - I suppose my difficulties lie more with how to control which app handles alarms and notifications. I run a lengthy task list that I continuously review and chew away at and I find TMP's handling of displaying tasks intriguing. I think I would like to see tasks grouped graphically like ThoughtMgr but I haven't thought this through enough. I also like the way TMP handles displaying short to near term appointments but I initially found found it lacked the month by month long range scheduling of dbk6. I love the work you've done on TMP and I am still struggling with how to integrate it into my daily work.

I have not had it loaded for awhile so let me se what you've done in V1.2 and then maybe I will be able to ask more constructive questions.

    Cheers

    Mark
