I need some help with the BackupBuddy for Windows.

    1. I want to do a HARD reset on my TREO to erase everything I have installed in the last month since I got the phone and start from fresh.

    2. I did the hard reset, renamed the backup folder in the palm directory to something else and did a hotsync.

    3. I completely forgot about the fact that I had BackupBuddy installed on my pc and it basically restored everything to my Treo when I hotsynced. This is good, however, I wanted to upload my programs from scratch after I did the hard reset.

    4. How can I disable BackupBuddy temporarily so that after a HARD reset, and hotsync, it does NOT restore everything back that I just deleted?

I basically want to install only the programs I want to keep after a HARD reset and then re-activate BackupBuddy afterwards to store backups from that point forward..

It's been a while since I've used BB for Windows, but I believe if you look at the list of conduits in Hotsync Manager, you'll see one for BBW; just change the action for that conduit to "Do nothing".

    Thanks Bill.

After that and I have a new install on my Treo, would changing that setting back to what it was just start backing up my Treo from that point forward, or will it cause BB to reinstall everything that was there to begin with before my hard reset?

It should just backup as usual; it only tries to restore when the device being hotsynced is empty.
