Does nayone have an application that will disconnect the Treo from the network quickly?

In order to keep my data use down, I like to disconnect from the network as soon as I am done surfing, listening to shoutcast stuff, or emailing. However, only Blazer has a disconnect option in the menus.

I am looking for a little program/macro that when launched will simply terminate the network connection (GPRS/EDGE for me as a GSM guy) without having to trace menus etc.

    Thanks

I am currently using your program NetworkDown. Thanks for writing it, and offering it as freeware. I have been trying to find a program that is an expanded version of NetworkDown that is compatible with the sprint 700p.

I used to have a program that would disconnect the data network after a specified amount of non-network activity automatically. There were several out and available that worked on my treo 600 ( example Treo 600 connection manager). As an example you could set the software up to disconnect from the data network after 5 minutes of inactivity.

This was great with respect to the many programs that did not have an auto disconnect after using them. It eliminated having to manually disconnect from the data network to save battery life with out having to mannualy log off.

I would love to beta test a product for you folks if you would need a tester for this product, or if you would add the function to 2PlayMe. I have talked with many developers about this, and the sprint 700p seems to be the stumbling block with regards to getting a program that will do this.

    What do you think?

I've believe I've seen it posted around here that, old as it is, TreoHelper works on the 700p.

    Bill:

Thanks for the response. I have tried Treo Helper, and a majority of the features work, except the one I would like to have ( you guessed it, drop network). I tried it once maybe on your suggestion I will give it a go again.

    Thanks

Well, I tried Treo Helper again, and it did not work. Seems to code is for 1xRtxx, not EVDO. Network will not automatically do a timed disconnect using the App. Good suggestion though.

Demo, I have no plans to add somethng like this to NetworkDown. Also it is quite hard to do it, as there isn't any Treo 700p here in Europe...

I'm thinking it will not do an automatic "Network Disconnect" though...
