    Hi All,

I have just switched from iCal to Entourage for my Calendar software and syncing between my Treo works however in Entourage the categories do not carry over from the Treo.

Everything just shows up as no unfiled. Is there any fix to this?

    Thanks

From what I can tell, this seems to be a common problem. Do any of your items in Entourage have more than one category? According to this, admittedly old, reference, that could be the root of the problem.

None of my items are in two categories. Is there any fix for this? How are other people dealing with this?

the iApps are nice but I prefer Entourage.

    Thanks for your help

From what I can tell, this is a limitation of the Microsoft conduit. I use Entourage at home, Outlook at work, and the Treo, and categories are always an issue even using a Exchange server to sync everything.

If I enter an appointment on the treo I manually add the category to the Entourage item after it's synced. If I enter the item in Entourage I can't add a category to the item on the Treo because I get duplicate entries.

    Annoying.

Maybe the "Missing Sync" software might help? (I'm looking into it myself, although I'm pretty happy with Enourage and my Treo 650....but I don't use catagories)

I use Missing Sync, but MS uses the Microsoft conduit.

Interestingly, this is also an issue when syncing Outlook and Entourage through an Exchange server with no Treo in the loop.
