    Hi there:

If I keep asking these newbie questions, maybe eventually, I won't be one.

I get flummoxed every now and then with my Treo over this scenario. Let's say a friend calls, and they've changed phone numbers. Or maybe they're calling from their home phone, which I previously did not have listed in my contacts entry for them.

After completing the call, my treo asks me "would you like to add this phone number as a new contact?" But really, what I want to do is add that number to an existing contact.

Isn't there an easy way to add this new phone number to existing contact's page, w/o manually typing it in?

    thanks for any enlightenment,

    mick

    1. Answer "OK" when asked this question, position the cursor in the new contact's phone number field, menu->S, menu->C (Select All, Copy), then menu->D ("Delete"). Then open the contact you wish to edit , position the cursor in an empty phone field and menu->P.

    or

    2. Install TakePhone. TP gives you the choice of adding a new contact or editing an existing one.

I'm moving this post because it doesn't have anything to do with Treo+Mac; if I guessed wrong and you're not using a Treo 650, let me know and I'll move it to the appropriate forum.
