ARGH! I'm nearly ready to toss the phone out the window.

I'm using a Treo 650 with Outlook 2003. Yesterday, my contacts quit syncing correctly. A few contacts have replicated themselves, oh, 30 times or so, and I'm getting the following error notice in the hotsync log:

    Outlook Contacts
    OLERR:04-003F (0x8c540109)
    OLERR:04-0006
    OLERR:0D-0016
    OLERR:0D-000E
    OLERR:0D-0004
    OLERR:0D-0001
    - Recovery Sync
    Outlook Contacts synchronization failed

I have read multiple threads that seem to address this problem, and have tried the Repair feature of Outlook, doing the outlook /resetfolders command, installing the conduit update, and using the dbscan utility.

    No dice.

I haven't seen any other suggestions, other than installing pocketmirror, which I *really* don't want to buy. There should be a way to fix this problem!!!!

Why not? The Palm Outlook conduits are notoriously buggy and PM's aren't.

Because it's irritating to have to *purchase* another, separate program for something that came with the phone and should be made to work.

I spent all morning manually deleting several hundred duplicate contact entries from my Treo, and now it syncs correctly.
