What converter would you suggest for converting video files to be able to play on treo 650 with tcmp? I want to DOWNLOAD content from the web.

I have tried downloading from Archive.org and get great picture on the treo but no audio. Message says its a rights issue. I have the ACC.

The support people say to try RealPlayer content from their site but when I try RealPlayer content it doesn't even show up after a hsync.

I just can't believe that there are no sites where we can SIMPLY download great content onto our SD cards and enjoy the medium. Apple sure is ahead of the curve.

    thank you for any help.

ATM, google videos are very hard to re-encode. esp if it was a purchased (ie, encrypted) video.

Ditto the endorsement for SUPER. I spent the bulk of a Saturday playing with the settings, but the results have been good. I just LOVE sitting in the boarding area waiting for my flight while I'm catching up on epis of House and Boston Legal on my Treo 650.

After reading the original post, I guess I should clarify something. SUPER will allow you to CONVERT other downloaded media files to file size and file types supported by TCMP. I don't know of anyone who is actually producing and distributing files in the size and formats you require. SUPER allows you to convert standard media files for play on your Treo via TCMP, and it's FREE.

I've attached a Word doc of the settings I use most often. These settings gave me the best compromise of decent quality vs. smaller file size to fit multiple episodes on my 1G card.

    Good luck!

I'm a fan of Kinoma Producer, it seems to handle anything I throw at it and produces mp4's that TCPMP will always play. Check this post to see what Kinoma settings I suggest.
