Is there any way - short of a hard reset - to restore the Voice Mail Favorite with the "1".

I deleted the shortcut, and now think I'd like it back, but there does not appear to be a way to recreate what was deleted. I don't mind the "E" in the favorite field, but deleting the shortcut messed up another feature, so I want it back.

    Thanks.

You can't get it back by going to the favorite, then pull down the menu for Edit favorites button?

Options E (edit favorite buttons) for the desired button
    Label type "1 Voice Mail"
Number *86 (this is Verizon's Voice Mail) or just type in your own phone number (if you call your own number it goes to voice mail)
    Under Quick Key type "1"

    That should be it, no?

It won't let you type in numbers from the hard keys. When selecting what key to launch the app, press the options key and use the touch pad key board. There you can select the use of "1" rather than it appearing as "E" on the quick launch.

If you don't use a backup application and can't find an older version of PhoneFavorites2DB (or whatever the 700p equivalent is) to restore, ask another 700p user to send you a copy from their freshly reset phone.

Thanks Bill - I found it in a backup, and restored it. I still hate the fact that it is in the default position, but it looks like I need to keep it there.

As a work around to the problem I have of accidentally clicking Voice Mail when I really want my contacts is I enabled wallpaper, made it so no favorites show, and also changed the setting so when I start dialing, it goes to the contacts first (unless I click "option".)

    JCFox,

No need to keep it in its default position. While you're in the phone app, from the menu, choose Edit Favorites Pages. Then just use the stylus to tap and drag the Voicemail entry to a different spot. I hated where the voicemail entry was, and just wanted to swap it with the contacts entry. While in "Edit Favorites Pages", I just dragged the Voicemail entry to the Contacts entry and the two entries swapped places.
