Actually I have read the entire 75,000 page manual.

    Thanks for the overview Casey!

I am using Datebk6. I purchased a license to Agendus 11, but uninstalled it due to the extremely slow performance that I encountered. Through a process of elimination, I discovered that Agendus slowed up tremendously with meetings that had large invite lists. In my company, some of the meetings have 100+ people. This slowed Agendus to a crawl. Using Datebk6, I encountered no slowdowns - very quick and crisp.

Still working on how to suppress these invitees. One software sync package that I use will strip them from the meeting, but it occasionally has sync issues with Lotus Notes. My calendar db doubles in size when the invitees are included.

An immediate observation is that the current day's box is highlighted in red color (eg: MTWTFSS). This makes for a nice touch in quickly knowing which day you're on.

When pressing the "DET" button, there is some noticeable added functionality included in this screen.

There is a new "T" (Today?) view, which looks really cool.

I like the fact that I didn't have to delete version 5 first. Version 6 simply installed right over version 5, and the new 6 version kept all my existing preferences too! Very nice!

I can't say that version 6 is life changing, but now that I have it, I'm glad I installed it. This was one of those things on my list of things to do!

I'm sure there's a lot more, but I haven't explored everything yet. I'll just learn as I go along!
There's no need to read the entire maunal to find out the differences between DateBK5 and DateBK6; just read the New Features page on the PimlicoSoftware site.

Wow! Even the 1 page summary seems looooong!

Anyone actually read the whole page word for word?

    Sprint 755p, 700p, 650 - I am not a geek! Really!

That *is* a long list. I know they spent quite a bit of time on the beta, but I think I'll wait a little longer to see if any significant problems emerge on the 700p. I was having an occasional reset when an alarm went off in DateBk5x but I read that someone had solved a similar problem by locking the app with Resco Lock. It solved it for me too.

They is one person doing it all. As for stability, I would not rely on it as heavily as i do if it were not solid. At its stage in the development, what bugs remain are very obscure, meaning they just do not happen too often or only in specific situations that most users never come across them. CESD fixes them very quickly.

Thanks. I'm surprised to find out that it's a one man show, seems so well done. I hope he/she doesn't charge me for the upgrade either since I've now gone through quite a few freebies.

CESD is a he and proceeds go to Gorilla Haven, which he runs. So paying an upgrade fee isn't too bad - unless you are anti-gorilla. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...es/neutral.gif

I am looking for an alternative calendar program to the one that came with the Treo 650. The problem that I have with the Palm calendar is that it auto archives everything after 1 week and there does not seem to be a way to stop this. Does the DateBk 6 or DateBk 5 have this issue also? If there is anyone out there who already is using DateBk 5/6 I would appreciate your comments on this issue.

I don't believe the the Palm Calendar purges items automatically; you have to have chosen that option on either the desktop or in the application itself. DateBk can purge items as well, but likewise, won't do it unless requested to do so.
