Maybe someone can help me. I had just loaded a nice selection of reading material on my Prism. I synced it up a again after loading those files, and when I went to read some of them, C-Spot Run gave this error:

There are no DOC databases installed! Please try C-Spot Run again when you've loaded a document or two.

So I tried to open them up in QED, the word processing program I've been using. But they're not there -- no error message, simply not there.

Any idea where my files are going, and what can I do to make it stop?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Where did these DOC files come from? Are you sure they're plain palm DOC format? Could be TomeRaider, Peanut, Mobilpocket, etc.. *.pdb files.

Nope, they're all .DOCs, .PRCs, and .PDBs -- from Memoware, or made by me on QED or BigDoc. And they used to work fine. So this is something new and strange. I think it is related to syncing.

    Thanks!

That's happened to me before. This usually happens after a soft reset, usually caused by me trying to foolishly put my OmniSky (Novatel Minstrel-S) modem into the springboard slot. Stupid human that I am! ^_^

Any chance that you have a Minstrel-S? If not, then maybe we can pool together and think about what we have in common, no?

Yes, I do have a Minstrel S. I don't know if the problem can be related -- can't remember if I used the wireless module in between syncing and attempting to read. But I'll check it out!

    Thanks!
