I am testing Easy Notes and also Memo Plus for my Treo 650. Which one do you think is better?? Would you advise any other?

I use Bonsai (http://natara.com/Bonsai/index.cfm) for all my Treo note taking.
Less than 400 posts to get my own little treo icon!

I hope I am not hijacking this thread, but I would love to see (learn about) a Notes application that will sync with Outlook Notes and will allow to store the DB on the SD card, I have over 1MB of Outlook Notes and so far could not find one that will sync and store on the card.

    Anyone?

    Thanks,
    Ix.

Memo Plus is my memo app of choice--my custom rom doesn't even include the built-in Memo program. (Memo Plus won't work from ROM, though, be warned!) With Ludus' Sharknav application, it's even better. If you use it in conjunction with PowerRun, it will sync with outlook (I use PocketMirror) and store on the SD card.

DayNotez and Natara Desktop may be overkill but they are good too...

supersocialist, do you move the entire app+db to the SD?
and when you sync does hotsync update the db on the SD or do you have to move it back to ram pre every sync?
I use zlauncher to move apps that sync (vindigo, favogo, roboform) to the SD but I have to move them back to ram before every sync otherwise the conduit will create a new db in ram (not knowing about the one on the SD).
    ?

I've tried and purchased Easy Notes. It's nice, but from time to time, something gets corrupted (I suspect it's something due to graphics or whatever) and I can't open up Easy Notes. A quick flash of blue screen and reset. Normally I would go back to an older archive and restore it. Got tired of that and eventually stopped using it.

You'd have to move them back to ram, I suppose. I stopped using PowerRun with MemoPLUS when I started syncing with Outlook.

The ultimate in notes is Note Studio at http://www.dogmelon.com.au/ns/index.shtml

It's pretty expensive, but it's a full-blown Wiki with markup and a desktop companion to sync. Has forward links, back links, formatting, etc. Seems most of the people in the NS forums use it for an organization method called Getting Things Done.

You CAN populate it directly from the Treo, but typing lots of [] are annoying, as with quite a few wikis, it's like [[link][friendly text]] or just [[link]]. There are menu shortcuts however, so that helps. It's quite powerful.

It'll even import all of your memos, then you can go through and edit to make any links you want.

Give it a shot, I think the demo limitations are pretty reasonable so you can evaluate it pretty easily.

    I use MemoLeaf at http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fu...1&prodID=16255

It uses the built-in memo DB, and it allows you to kinda categorize your memos. Ok, sometimes the title can become pretty long, but I find it very usefull.

Threads http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fu...1&prodID=95267 is also kind of a memo app. You can create a topic, and as long as you have information relevant to that first "post", you can post under that original one.

Pretty inexpensive, and I find it easy to just jot down a quick note that you can later transfer to calendar or todo or real memo...

Here's another one: Thought Manager, more complex but very nice. It's a pity that there is not a Mac version
