Try getting it off the Palm.com site. It's no charge to download.
You have to get it from the austrailian site, though. It's not on the US site.

Just select "get it now", fill out the form, pick any carrier (carrier doesn't matter) and you've got it.
I haven't tried it yet because I don't have a BB account yet.

But from the link (or more correctly the info in my FireFox tab), you can see that Cingular is the US carrier set to release...

I was told the other day that the BB Connect would be hitting the US shores within days...not weeks. I was not able to get info on if the US version would support the 700p flavors or just follow what has been published in other countries to support 650 only. Looking at the Palmgear site, it looks like 650 only :-(

Dear XXXXX XXXXXX,Greetings from PalmGear.com! Below is the fulfillment information for the software: BlackBerry ConnectTM for the Treo<SU 650 smartphone from Cingular you ordered within Order ID: SW3539292 on 2006-08-28 13:21:06.0. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------This software is fulfilled via download. To download your software for this or any other order again, log into your My Palmgear Account at http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?XXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Click the "Order History" button, then click the Download link for the product or products you wish to re-download.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Additional Instructions for this software:
The above is a copy of the email confirmation I got from PalmGear stating that is for Cingular to confirm what dslunceford stated.

I sent a "complaint" email via PG's contact process and haven't gotten any "official" uncanned response. They look over their emails but they did forward it to Palm which directed me to the Palm web site for further info. Blackberry Connect returns a link only to the original press release etc which states "early" 2006.
