I've seen a 2500 mAh battery offered recently claming a 43% increase over standard battery life (for Treo 650/700). So far just seen the battery in Ebay type offerings. Has anybody tried one and does it work as advertised?

I don't use it, but a lot of other people do.

That's the 2400 mAh battery at Treocentral. I haven't heard of a 2500 mAh and didn't see any comments from purchasers of the supposed 2500 mAh on eBay. His/her ratings are good but I would be cautious until seeing more places selling it.

Found the same seller/battery on Amazon which provides some consumer protection.

I'm purchasing and will report back results.

Picture of the battery is attached.

I'm thinking of getting this battery: Seidio 2400mAh Extended Battery for Treo 700p, 700w, 650 for my 700W. I noticed in the description that it says it's slightly heavier than the OEM battery. Can anyone comment on how noticeable the additional weight is and how good is the extra battery power?

    From this thread, http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=120109
I can say that the battery is slightly heavier but you don't realize it once you get used to it. Battery life for me is increased as much as advertised.

Maybe I just got a defective battery, but I purchased one as a backup, and noticed it was somewhat "thicker" than a normal one, and as a result, caused the cover on my 650 to bulge out. Have yet to put it into my 700.

You can get a proven solution from Seidio or go the road less traveled for 100mAH. I use Seidio's 2400 and love it.
