Is it possible to only turn off or dim the keyboard during the day?

try kblightsout (shareware). Or Alt-menu (the old 650 rt-shift) will dim the screen & keyboard, simultaneously. Great way to make your charge last longer.

KeyShades = Free. Turn off/on your keyboard lights by holding down your voice rec button (doesn't interfere with program launch).

I'm using the beta on my 700p and works. Get keyCaps too while you're there.

i like the free KeyShades much better than KBLights... it works better to because the keyboard remains off even after you adjust the brigtness of the screen.

Set the Sensitivity dropdown to Very Thick, Huge, or Very Huge depending on your preference and it should come on/turn off appropriately based on the brightness.

I have mine set to Very Thick.

If you go to the configuration screen what are your min and max luminiosity values set at? Mine are 000 and 255
