Somebody noted elsewhere that GL 4.9 supports multiple devices per user! I am looking for informaiton on how to do this. As well does that mean multiple SIMS per user (within the same device)?

    Thanks.

you need to have server 4.9 running

then just add the same person onto the server

thats all there is to it

Thanks, I went and found the appropriate DOC on the Goodlink website. Is there now any reasonable way however for a user to have multiple SIMS with 1 device?

    dont think so

as the server looks at device serial numbers, and not sim card serial numbers

That would be a change. GoodLink looks at the device serial numbers on CDMA devices and SIM card for GSM devices. Look on your GMC. Any serial numbers starting with ESN are CDMA, any starting with IMSI are GSM SIMs.

We have always been able to swap SIMs with other Treos and even use SD card backups (I just updated a Treo 600 to 650 by only swapping the SIM card & using the existing OTA PIN). We always have to re-create CDMA accounts because of the hard coded serial numbers on those devices.

I will be very disappointed if 4.9 breaks that functionality.
