i am pretty sure ive gotten to all the requests i had before i left work today. I did just check my sprint email from home, which i rarly do, since i needed something and saw that i had a couple more in there since ive left that i will get to wednesday when i work again.

I was thinking of purchasing the EX plugin for chatter to be able to get my sprint email on my treo so i can respond and let people know when to expect any help thats been requested. I just don't know if its worth the $25 for me to spend on it since it would only be used for sprint. Does anyone care that im not able to get back to them until im at sprint?

Bumble - You took care of me earlier today and it worked great, thank you. Since you are really doing all of us a favor, I wouldn't worry about making any of us wait until you get into work. I wasn't expecting to hear from you until Monday or Tuesday anyway since it is the weekend.

I did the soft reset before the upgrade, I even drove to an area with EVDO. It still took 8 tries.

Has anyone noticed Blazer to be a bit more stable after the PRL update?

I have not noticed that, but I have noticed 2 other things:

    1. I tried to do the update about 10 times (my account was flagged and it did the old "we have recognized that you need an update...blah blah blah). After 10 straight fails, I connected to my hotsync cable/charger cable and BOOM...the update went through!!! Maybe it needs to be connected (remember when you had to do the firmware update on the 650 they told you it had to be a full battery/connected to power? I am saying the same thing is true for PRL updates...for some fussy 700p's...I could be wrong

    2. I now have EVDO signal in my household which I 100% positively did not have before. Coincidence? Maybe.......

    2. I have a similar situation, no signal at home but yes 1/4 mile away. I am hoping for the same thing to occur in this area. My understanding is that this is the main thrust behind this update, the addition of towers or something.

I have not upgraded yet because of all the hassles people have been going through, I was hoping the letter would help make it a little less painless and time consuming. In the meantime, the Treo is performing like a champ and there are plenty of other things to do.

I was flagged last night and between then and now, I've soft reset and dialed *2 more than 2 dozen times. Each time I am told that an update is available. I've tried letting the update complete (verbally) and waited thru the ringing until Claire comes back and I never get the pop-up nor do I have the update (still at **21). I have also tried aborting the update if the pop-up does not appear during the update process and before Claire tells me its complete. Still no luck.

    Any ideas??

I'm in NYC if that matters.

    TIA

EDIT: After it tells me that it was successful and I make my way to Claire, I hang-up and then my display shows "Phone Off" in the top left corner for about 7-10 seconds and then "Sprint" reappears, as does my signal strength. But still no change in the PRL info when I go into "Phone Info" on the menu.

Has anyone lost their speaker function after multiple (10x) failed prl updates? I didn't think too much of it until now.

I've been able to do a prl update through claire. Last 2 previous updates i believe. First one went without a hitch. This time took 4 tries for it to actually happen. On the first three, it never unlocked the prl. Last try worked and prl was unlocked. New prl updated.

Problem with Claire is that sometimes she recognizes when i say prl update and sometimes she doesnt. Voice prompting is definately not one of Claires strong points :-D

Yeah, been having problem here with the PRL update. I was able to get 20222 just fine OTA, but now I cannot get PRL 20223 for some reason.
    The Timeline:

Issues getting the account flagged or to have the actual update go through? If its a flagging issue, send me an email, its in the beginning of the thread.

I had to plug in my Treo to get the update to work as well. Weird.

I was able to get my account flagged, getting the phone to actually connect , unlock SPC and update is the problem. I've called *2 about 10 times, and have gotten the "We have recognized..." message and wait through it, but nothing happens, every time (no "SPC unlock" messages on-screen or anything). Whereas, when 20222 came out, the update succeeded on the first try.

I guess the system "gives up" after 10 tries or so, because now even the "we have recognized" prompt has stopped when I call *2.
