In the top left corner on my Sprint 700p, from right to left, I've got the battery indicator, the coverage bars, the Bluetooth logo, crosshairs, a 2 x 3 grid of little blue rectangles (which sometimes changes to little blue boomerangs), and the voicemail envelope icon.

What do the little blue rectangles and the crosshairs signify? There's no mention of them in the user guide, nor could I find anything at Palm.com.

Blue triangles is your EvDO/on, crosshairs is your 911/GPS for Sprint...

Does this have any purpose? It seems like a useless indicator.

I downloaded the .pdf manual for the 700p from the Palm site. Seems to be more informative and detailed. The two icons gregmcf asks about are explained (as reverendrhino explained)

It's a personal thing, you want Sprint to know where you are at all the time? Than keep it, some people say if you turn it off, you can save some battery. Either way 911 will know where your at....

Can anyone tell me whgat this icon is? It's a green square with "EV" in it. It's to the left of the crosshairs. This is a Verizon 700p.

    Thanks all...
