I juss found a site called www.palmpowerups.com and I saw a flash player on there. I saw this site from my treo so if some1 wants to see what its about and try the flash player that would be great. I would but I'm at work and don't leave until 11pm pac time. they also had other nice apps there also.

By the way, this *WILL NOT* make flash files embedded in websites (like at CNN, ESPN, and YouTube) work. You have to know the URL to the flash file and download it to your card (read the forums at palmpowerups.com). Only Flash 5 files work.

    It is interesting though.

This Flash Player is awesome! I don't know if it has any affect on website flash, but it totally changes the way my Treo loads one screen to the next... in a flash mode (fade in / fade out). I thought this was an effect of Flash Player? I installed Flash Player and SkinUI at the same time so I don't know which program is providing the flash transition effect. I assume it's Flash Player. Or, could I be mistaken and this is an effect of installing SkinUI??? Can someone confirm? BTW, SkinUI is awesome! I definitely have to register this app. Its totally changed the face of my treo - and now with the Flash Player transitions I feel like I've got a brand new Treo toy! Sweeet!

Ok, I see the problem. This thread was started about the flash player (flash-type screen transition software) found on www.palmpowerups.com. Not to be confused with the browser flash player (.swf) being discussed elsewhere. Phew! I think I got that right.

As I stated, the flash player *will not* add flash support to Blazer. At the moment, there is no way to get flash support in Blazer (requires a plugin and Blazer does not offer plugins).

That fading transition is provided by SkinUI.

since the tangent of skinui is already here... don't forget to add your comments to this thread! thanks!

I believe it's SkinUI that changes the way you Treo loads between apps. It's one of the effects options.

There's a bug in SkinUI when using camera on the 700p. When you go to folders to view your pictures you end up with just a white screen. You will need to reset your phone to get the screen back. I was getting ready to purchase until I ran into this. There doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

Thanks to All for the help! I didn't know about the bug... I'll hold off on purchase until there's an update as you've suggested.

The link I provided talks about those issues.. There is a list of apps that need to be added to the "ignore" list. Turn off "Fields" for those apps and they should start to work again. (I believe its "field" that needs to be turned off).

no offense, but this is completely useless to me. I want a web plugin for flash!

Can't some developers get together with macromedia and make it. They already have one for ppc. Yet the palm version is not even in the works.

I'm pretty tired of all this late developement of palm and mac apps, if any. I've been waiting for versions of palm and mac software all the time for years, I fear things are never getting any better.
