I am giving my old Sprint 650 to a friend who is on Alltel. I have read several places that they are the same CDMA phone and all we have to do is find the right Alltel service person to program it. Does anyone know what I need to do to make this work????

    Here you go.

Go to http://www.grack.com/romtool download the tool. Install it to your PC.
    1. Connect your treo to the USB cable. Type ##8778# then press "dial" on your treo keypad.
    2. Open the rom tool. (windows may request a driver (comes with rom tool))
    3. Go to the tab phone info.
    4. Click Edit Tokens (accept the disclaimer)
    5. Change the crnm token to CDMA (in caps)
    6. Change the revn token to 1.03
    7. Click save, then exit.. Use the stylus to reset your treo.

Go to http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl...ater/cdma.html download and run the updater.
Once you finish, go check the phone info. If it says "1.04-CDMA", then you flashed the Alltel ROM successfully.
