i'm using mobile gmail through blazer; it works fine for me, so i don't see the need to buy chatter or snapper email. i'm able to d/l mp3's, midi's, and just about any other files onto my sd card. my problem is when i click "download" on any microsoft file(.doc, .ppt, .xls) i'm prompted to save either to device or sd card. i select "card", and it errors out with the message: "Save to card failed" application/msword could not be saved to the card. Make sure the card is not locked, and try again.

am i totally missing a step here? thinking it was a filename issue, i pressed every key imaginable, and can't change the filename. is this a limitation of blazer and the palm os? i tried very small files(4kb), so it isn't a size issue.

any clues are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Do you have Documents to Go installed on your device?

yes, i do. i have the 700p. the thing is that if i save it to the device, it's a-ok. unfortunately, this is not ideal because then i'd have to transfer from internal memory to the sd card every time. it only happens with these type of documents.

Weird. I'll leave it to anyone with 700p/Docs to Go experience, as I don't have the 700p...

It's a Blazer thang; you could try using another browser. Every now and then, something like this happens to me on the Treo 650...when it does, I just use SharkDownload to download the file(s) to my card.

Saw this thread a while ago, and could not think of a program that I used for this very issue. I finally remembered that Toysoft makes a program called media manager that helps with this issue.
