Is there a easy way to access gmail mail through Xinio?
Google says to use http://m.gmail.com but I either get an error or gives me the standard google page.

I don't have Xinio so I can't try the link. But it does work in Blazer (mine is a T700p btw) and I was able to check gmail that way.

I can confirm that it doesn't work in Xiino on my machine either, and that it did work in Blazer. When I cut and pasted the *actual* URL it took me to from Blazer into Xiino it crashed the Treo.

I find that using the html version of gmail on Blazer works better than the mobile version.

I second that prubin! I get the usual message on Gmail.com telling me that I should use a recommended browser, but I ignore it and continue accessing my email like I would on a PC.

I use the google link that came preinstalled on the treo - the xhtml one. scroll down - there is a gmail link. I don't know if its the mobile one or not (its clearly not the standard one). Works for me and is quick.

Where are you scrolling? Do you mean in VersaMail or in the browser?

I'm not sure but IMHO, Versamail is a better solution than the browsers as far as Gmail is concerned. Perhaps there is a different need there though...

It is not possible to delete messages on the server using Versamail; it is using the browser. I get a lot of messages to read an delete, and Versamail means that when I get back to my laptop I must delete them again.

I'm not sure about deletion but I have Gmail set (on the server) to move the messages into the archive after they have been read by the Treo, keeping my inbox clean. Periodically, I go into the archive and delete the unwanted messages from a desktop/laptop. There should be a delete setting there as well (Gmail server) but maybe not, or it may be there and not work.

That gives the mobile version of gmail. I find it not so useful; it does not have check boxes by the messages so you cannot operate on a message (delete, file, etc.) or on multiple messages without opening each. The HTML version lets you do more operations. Even in a non-EVDO setting, Blazer is pretty fast and the HTML version works fine for me.
