The list is supposed to update as newer recipients are added in place of less-sent-to addresses... However, my list appears to be locked. There are people in the list I haven't sent SMS to in months, and others who I always have to add manually to the list! No matter how frequently I send to new recipients, the quicklist won't repopulate.
    Ideas? Help?
    Thanks.

Delete it and start over...it may be corrupt: use a file manager like FileZ to delete the SMS Quicklist file.

I can try that, thanks. But how do I delete it - and will it reinstall at my next sync?

As I said, use a file manager like FileZ to delete it. A fresh, empty copy of the file will be created the next time you launch Messaging. Unless your Backup conduit is set incorrectly, you don't have to worry about the old copy being reinstalled.

Great advice! and a great application. SUCCESS! Thanks very much...
But while I've got you here, how should my backup conduit be set anyway?
This is my third replacement Treo so it was set to restore from backup. Now that I'm up & running I guess there's no need to restore each time I sync, so I set that to do nothing. Do you think that's a sound approach?
    Many Thanks again.

It should normally be set to "Handheld overwrites desktop"....otherwise, you won't be backing up your data to your computer. Rightclick the Hotsync Manager in your program tray, choose Custom, highlight Backup and click Change; select "Handheld overwrites desktop", "Set as default", click OK and then Done.
