My 700p was lighting up mysteriously last night. It seemed like one of the times, it corresponded to me taking it to my bedroom. Is there a chance the GPS could be triggering something? I currently have no GPS software installed. Also, my 700p resets at random times. It is kind of a pain because sometimes my phone does not get turned back on until I realize that it has reset. Should I post this to the Bug sticky?

nothing is broken on your treo everyone is having problems like this but they are not going to admit it.This device is very buggy. I doubt a hard reset even will fix this.

Well, I love the device, and my 650 was equally buggy. I wouldn't go back to the 650 if you paid me.

Do you have Profile Care on your Treo? PC will do this when changing timed profiles...I don't believe GeoSoft has had a chance to address this yet.

If you your phone signal is fading in and out that can cause it to turn on also. Seems like that would have been your turning on problem, but the reset is something else.

Do you have bluetooth enabled? I've had the same experience but discovered through trial and error that it only occurs when I have bluetooth enabled and my bluetooth headset is on and nearby.

I think it could be BT related too, if someone or a machine is scanning your BT it lights up..

If BT is enabled and your signal fades, the screen will light up as the phone tells your BT headset that the signal has been lost. Depending on your BT headset, it may beep to let you know there is no signal. Not sure if there is an option to disable this notification, and whether that would fix the problem of the screen popping on.

Two soft resets after the intial setup - that is not buggy, buddy. A soft reset on my device is always indicated by its coming up on the default dialer. Twice and that is it.

I think it does have something to do with the bluetooth headset, but it doesn't really seem to have any other explanation for lighting up other than the headset is still sitting there next to the phone. As for the reset, I think that may have something to do with bizconn. Are there any risks involved in a hard reset?

Actually, my girlfriend just called, and I didnt answer. She called back and the second time she called the phone reset. I have an AAC ringer that I made myself. I had a trial of ringopro, but I deleted it before 7 days. I tried to install Butler to no avail, and I have Sprint Business Connection installed.

Was the time it lit up around 12:09AM PST? Every treo I've seen (GSM/CDMA....650/700p) lights up at that time.

Technological superiority has never won a product battle. If that were the case we would all be flying in supersonic Concordes and using Apple computers.

The key to winning the battle is a combination of price, convenience, marketing, sound business model and a bit of luck.

12:09 AM PST?? Perhaps, although, I wouldn't trust anything I see at 3:09 EST.
