Highly recommend opera mini - it is a much better browser than Blazer. Loads websites more the way they look on the computer-and faster I think than Blazer- see the thread ( Opera 2.0 Internet Speed ) to get it - but read the whole thread. Also read my thread How to get Opera Mini. You will want this !!!

Default How To Get Opera Mini
Read the whole thread - Opera Mini Internet 2.0 - shown in threads lower on the thread page

The Opera Browser is quite good - much better than Blazer - more clear and loads whole page. Definitely worth getting - you will want to use it instead of Blazer.
    How I got it:
    1. Download the java file :
    http://www.palm.com/us/support/jvm/
    2. Once downloaded and unzipped - open the JVM Folder
    3. Then open the ARM4T folder
    4. Select J9 JavaJMMidp20.prc
    5. Select JavaVMCheck_envs.prc
    6. Drag and drop to Quick install window or just open the above 2 files and they will go to quick install
    7. Hot Sync
8.Download the j9secpol file -File Type: prc j9secpol.prc (find it in the opera mini internet 2.0 thread http://discuss.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=99216
This is a file that will stop java from asking you if you want to access the internet every time.

    9. Open to quick install
    10. Hot Sync
    11. I would do a soft reset now
    12. Download Opera Mini -(download to puter then hot sync )(VERSION FOR THE 650 )
    http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini
ONCE YOU ARE USING OPERA MINI - YOU NEED TO USE STYLUS OR Q AND P KEYS TO EXIT PROGRAM FROM MENU OR MANAGE OPTION. IT WOULDN'T ALLOW USING APPLICATIONS OR PHONE BUTTON - AND YOU WILL THINK IT IS FROZEN AND DO A SOFT RESET - UNLESS YOU USE THE STYLUS OR Q AND P KEYS.
    13. Open Preferences
    14. Go to Java
    15. Set to 32 MB per page
    16. Check: Double Buffer
    17. Check: High Resolution Coordinates
This is a vastly superior browser than Blazer and well worth getting!!!!!
READ THE WHOLE opera mini internet 2.0 THREAD TO GET ALL INFO!!

It is outstanding compared to Blazer

You don't need to use the stylus. Use the Q key and the P key to access the soft-keys (the "buttons" on the bottom left and right part of the screen).

I still have a mixed opinion on Opera Mini right now. I'm not convinced it's better than Blazer. *shrug*

Can't you just press the "w" key on the keyboard to open Opera Mini's menu and then select "Exit" from the menu? No need to use the stylus or try to the tap the screen. I don't use it on a 700p, so I'm not sure it there are unique issues for that device. Also, bookmark management is a bit of an issue. I recommend using a del.icio.us account and creating a "Mobile" tag for bookmarks you want to access via the Treo, then pointing Opera Mini to http://del.icio.us/username/Mobile

I like opera mini, but I find myself using blazer more...

same here I like opera mini a lot but ended up using blazer more, maybe due to ease of use ( I have fontsmoother installed and use smaller font on blazer it work quite well I might say). and about bookmark on opera I do agree that it might be a problem if you have 100 bookmark. everytime you add new bookmark in opera, it save your newest bookmark at a very bottom position if you want to move it up 1 position you have to press the botton 3 time. But over all I find opera mini a really good browser at lease it serve as a back up browser just in case my blazer have a hard time opening page or sprint decide to have blazer server down again.

How does one clear the cache in Mini? Is it done automatically? Sorry for the stupid question but I just don't want my system bogged down because the cache is too full. Thanks.

17 steps to install and use Opera Mini--that's not going to work for a lot of us.

the page slitting will be better if you set your java VM memory to 8 MB or more and use double buffering. Hope this help

Got it installed and running and I think I like it. It's pretty fast and has a smooth scroll down the page. I want to know though, is there a way to change the screen size like in blazer? optimized vs. wide page view? Please say yes...

I do recommend this to for everyone to at least try out, I was impressed.

Im not sure about that - but did you set the java preferences ? steps 13-17
Its really a good browser - but some people don't want to go thru the steps to get it - although it really doesn't take that long.
