I have uncovered a problem in Blazer and was wondering if there is a setting I am missing. If I go to www.pgatour.com and select "Full leaderboard", I get the following crash and message:

    StringMgr.c, line 367:string too long(>64k)

    Any suggestions?

I love that site. I guess tourcast is out of the question. I also have trouble on sportsbook.com....I try clicking on the text box and the screen jumps and it wont let me edit it. Is this due to multiple frames? It works on my 650...

Could someone on a 700p please give this a try before I try drastic measures? Just go to www.pgatour.com, go down a couple pages, under about 5 or 6 scores you will see "Full Leaderboard."

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
My 700p reboots while loading the next page, after hitting Full Leaderboard.

I get it on a 700p too. Try a different browser like Xiinio.

Thanks all for your help. I agree, it must be a Blazer bug. Will try Palm Support. I'll let you know if I uncover anything.

That page crashes Opera, it says page too large. Do you have Java set for more then 8mb?
    Visor --> Visor Platinum --> Treo 300 --> Treo 600 --> Treo 650 --> Treo 700p --> Treo 755p --> Treo 800w --> Palm Pre

My first experience with Palm Support. Not too impressed. After having me hard reset to determine if it is a 3rd party software problem or not (crashed with no 3rd party software), told me basically to pound salt. I told them with the info I provided they should be able to trouble shoot a little better. They replied telling me to contact phone support. The number they provided sent me to handheld support and not smartphone support. They were certainly aware this was a 700p. Once transferred, they basically told me to pound salt also. They said 64k was a limit of the browser. I said their design was poor and no restriction should cause a crash. I would understand if I were sent a restriction message. She said she was entering an incident. I don't expect anything further. Very disappointed. Can't wait for the survey.

My phone rebooted as well. So much for full-blown web browsing on the 700p. Were you able to get this to work using a different browser?

I think it is an issue with the web site. If you go to it in windows explorer, it says there is a less functional version for people having trouble. I have most definitely downloaded web pages with more than 64k....

ok I'm sorry I guess I was on crack earlier when I said I can view that page with opera mini. I couldn't but at least it didn't reset my treo. there was a pop up box said '' an error occured'' and it just simply stop loading but I didn't crash a phone. I have my java set at 32MB (gotta have the max) lol

It reset my 700p as well. Nice find. I'll investigate, and follow up with Palm. It looks like bad javascript to me.

Bah! The 64k limit is BS.

From a developer standpoint: Use MemPtrGlueNew instead of MemPtrNew and you get chuncks > 64k.

    In simple terms:
You'll probably want to try to find an email address of a developer department. Tech support won't be of much help.
