Is there anyway to get the favorites buttons to access applications that are stored on the SD card? I want to move many of my apps there, but I really like using the favorites buttons. However, when I go to set up a favorites button there doesn't seem to be a way to connect that button to any apps on the SD card, but only in RAM. Thanks.

You'll need to create a RAM-based "shortcut" (actually, a "stub" program that points to the app on the card) and point your Favorites button at that. Use a launcher app like Launcher X or Zlauncher to create it.

You can also do it with PowerRun.

Is there any one of the three that you guys would recommend above the others? I have looked the three programs up and it seems that Launcher X is the most powerful of the three, although I don't really have a need for the skinning features it provides.

    I use PowerRun.
I don't know about the Launcher Apps.
But from what I can tell, is Jeff gives fantastic support.

Anyway to assign a number and not a letter to a favorites button? I'm really puzzled!

    Welcome to TC.

Unless I misunderstand your question, you just assign the letter that shares the same key as the number. There's no way to assign the letter to one favorite and the number to another. If there were, it could get very confusing very quickly.

There's no straightforward way, but a solution requiring a little work has been talked about:
