After replacing my Treo 650 with a 700p because I shattered the screen in a three foot drop, it occurs to me that I should probably be keep my new Treo in a case - either leather or form-fit plastic. One of my pet peeves with cases is that they always seem to have oversized nubs or beltclips. I prefer keeping my phone in my pocket at all times and would like to find a case with an absolutely smooth back. Does anyone have ideas?

I know there are some out there that have completely removeable belt clip nubs, so you can clip it or pack it in your pocket....

One by Covertec I have been looking at:
    http://www.covertecstore.com/search/...achine=TREO700

Another made by a company called Energy Leaf:

Those are ones I have been looking at since the belt clip nubs are completely removeable.

If money is no object, go for a case from Vaja.

For $340 not only would price need to be no object, so would the phone that went into it

The belt clip is removable on the Palm case leaving you with a classy, smooth hard case. I use it to protect the 700p when I'm throwing it into a soft briefcase or backpack.

I really like this case from Fortte. The only thing is that I can't get it to sync while in the case as they show in this picture http://www.fortte.com/scr/details-13...DA%20Case.html

I think he was talking about the t7, which starts at $90 or t77 which has the flip cover for $120. Goto vaja choice to design your own.

The t7 silver which looks really nice, i don't think many people can justify paying the same amount for the case as the phone.

Seems like a cool case -- but what keeps that back flap in place when you are not trying to sync? Is it magnetic, does it just lay there and flap around?
    What gives?

I just got the E&B eNOVO case for the 700p. IMO it is the perfect flip case. It comes in clip and no-clip flavors. I have the no-clip one and I carry it around in my pocket always.

For some reason the treocentral store does not carry the 700p version yet (the 650 version will NOT work for 700p). I got it at cases.com. I got a 15% off coupon by registering w/ Mobilitytoday.com. You can also have my 15% off coupon code which I got w/ the case. Just PM me.

I am returning the F650 flip case. Though cheaper, it is inferior.

How does the "removable lid" attach? Any problems with it coming off or becoming loose, anything like that?

For my Treo 650 I had a Zcover Skin case that I really liked and I kept it in my front pocket all the time. Worked well.

Zcover does not have a 700 version, so I moved to the Sena Combo case. I have had the combo and have tried without the skin and with the skin and think I will go with the skin most of the time. Good quality and great customer service at Sena.
    Thanks,

It is velcro'd in from the inside. Hasn't come off on me yet. I have the belt clip version and my wife the clipless. We like them.

If I were to find fault I would say that sometimes the top flips open on me (maybe 2% of the time I wear it.) Perhaps a little stronger magnet would help but that might mess with the internal electronics.

My wife doesn't like that you can't put it in the cradle in its case but I believe this would be a problem with any case. No problem with cable/charging in its case. All necessary access holes are there; can take photos, etc.

Clip is very sturdy. Phone can be removed from clip with one hand (it locks into place with a spring loaded latch.)

    Very well made.

It's not a case...but...the BestSkinsEver clear skin is perfect for those who prefer to pocket their 650 or 700. It adds no bulk to the phone so it's easier to keep in pocket. It doesn't protect against falls much but it does give you resistance to scratching and everyday wear-and-tear from handling. Plus, since it virtually adds no bulk, you can always put it into a case/holster should you chose to later on....they are only $7.00....cheaper than any case I've seen.

The other plus is that it gives a slight "grippy" rubbery tactile feel that gives a more confident slip resistant grip in your hand. It does not pull out your pocket liner when removing it from you pants either.
