    I call Sprint again. They told me to try *2 one more time. If that does not work, then I do have to come to the store for the tech to look at.

    same here i tried the prl on my phone and i git the same result . it never came through . just called them and was told no prl is availible for the treo yet what gives?

    Verizon *228 wont let me update my 700p PRL over the air. Maybe because I just activated it recently?

    Dutch,

    I think you're right about the PRL/EvDO thing being an issue. A lot of us 6700 users still can't get OTA PRL updates hence why the fury over at pdaphonehome when one comes out so we can all manually do it.

    The only changes with this PRL that I'm aware of is that it's about 1/4 the size of the previous PRL (dunno why) and that it may fix roaming issues that people had (getting stuck in roaming). Also, EvDO PRLs help acquire EvDo signals (HDR Channels) so that may help people with data access.

    There should be a code to manually do it on the 700P...just have to figure it out.

    I had no problem updating to 20222 prl by emailing sprint ecare. after receiving an email dialed *2 and it claire mentioned a software update is necessary and at the same time screen said updating also. after completion I checked my prl and is now 20222. also dslreports I've been able to get 398kbps. 2wire reports 1.02mbps.

    How long ago did you do this?

    I called sprint, and they triggered my account for an update. I have been trying to download the update since yesterday morning, with no luck. aznmode: what prl did the prl push update you to. I talked with sprint tech support, and sprint Treo tech support, and they said that the 700p did not have an update available. I am on PRL 20221. They noted that was the current PRL for this phone.

    Agghhh... I'm frustrated. I called Sprint again. I am transferred to the Tech Spec. He told me that the latest PRL version for 700p is 20221. They don't have newer version.

    I call BS. I sent an email last night, they replied this morning that my account was flagged for a PRL update, and *2 isn't doing anything.

    Hi aznmode, I know the new PRL is out but they must be having problems in certain areas. I had my account flagged through CS email and phone and it didn't update. I have done many PRL updates in the past and know I'm not making an error, and they have done the same thing on their end that they have done in the past. I wonder what the issue is.

    What you are saying is clearly not BS for anyone who has done one before.

    They emailed me back saying they flagged my account as well. It just didn't send the PRL when I called in again.

    When you guys call *2 do you press 1 for english? After that is when claire mentioned that an update is needed. While it was updating I was able to at the same time go through the voice prompts menu and I was getting my bill balance while it was updating. I knew it was updating because the screen also had a small window saying it was updating. The person that responded to my email is Tina K. from E-care.

    I've also been "flagged" for the update based on an e-mail to ecare and a subsequent phone call to CS. I have also done PRL updates dozens of times over the last few years. This time, after I dial *2, I press 1 for english, then Claire reminds me about my outstanding balance, then asks me what I want. The update is not made avaiable (as it has been all other times I've been flagged). The CS rep also told me that if I am not prompted for the update and I to the point where I am being run through the menu of options, that I should interrupt by saying "Roaming List." When I do this, I get Claire asking me if I want her FAQ on Domestic or Int'l Roaming.

    I just updated to 20222 successfully.

    It took about 25 minutes from when I received the email from CS for it to update via *2
