Any small programs out there that perform a sot reset on my 700p? Couldn't find anything in the forum. Thanks.

There's a program called SoftReset. I can't find the thread however.

ondemand update + blazer = reset on my 700p.
On a more serious note, file explorer has an option for soft reset in the tool menu

If you use LauncherX (the best launcher for the 700p) it has the ability to do this from the "device" menu. I've heard that zLauncher can do this too.

...and don't forget that simple little app, mReset, which can be used in conjunction with LookAtMe to schedule a soft reset.

I use mReset. I set it as a favorite quick key 'R.' Enjoy.

ZLauncher will do the same thing from the pull down menu under the Device (far right)menu. I use it quite a bit.

The problem with using a reset in a menu or submenu is access. A program like mReset might be better, just tap the icon and reset it does. Ben

One has to consider the convenience of single tap versus the clutter of adding another program. Before having TomTom or EDGE on my Treo, I went with the menu approach....as the need to do resets on a more regular basis arose, I added mReset. In fact I wish I could program the Treo that any time I open eithe rof those two programs, it soft reset itself and relaunched the programs.

Thanks Bill for directing me to this thread.

One thing about mReset is that it does not turn the phone on after the reset. I am thinking about using LookAtMe to reset my treo once a week, but if the phone does not turn on afterwards, it can be problematic.

Does mReset have an option, or can LookAtMe be used to do this? Perhaps launching the phone application turns on the phone?

    Thanks,

No, you'll need another app for that. I use TreoHelper to both schedule my on/off times for the phone and to insure that the phone is always enabled after a reset.

When I use mreset, if the phone was on before the mreset, it turns back on after.

the only time i have to reset is when an app freezes. if this happens, how can you get to mreset anyways? seems more logical to just push the reset button on the back of the phone

get a backing with the reset hole cut out, and it'll save you the trouble if it is any for you
    blake!
