Someone tried to beam something to me at a party and it wouldn't work. Is there a way to see if beaming was shut off. There is nothing in profiles that I could find.

Were the two devices VERY close and the beams aligned? Palm's IR beams are finicky so the devices have to be positioned just right.

I've had to reset my device to get beam to work both times I tried.

Thaks for the help. Why is it found under power? I would have located the control under communications.

I think it's because if one decides to disable beam-receive, it's usually in an attempt to save power.
