For anyone interested, I bought a class one Bluetooth USB adapter knockoff on ebay for $10 shipped and it has an antenna.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=9736837582

I got it for a penny and unchecked the $2 insurance. It works perfectly on my new 700p using some hacked IBM drivers (see below). The bluesoile drivers that came with it sucked and caused my Treo to crash.

Instructions I found on another website for using the IBM Drivers and App

    Ok Here is the deal.
This forum has everything you need to know about bluetooth and widcomm
    http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=237

You will want to download this widcomm driver from IBM:
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-61425

and you will need to download this patcher:
    http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/atta...4&d=1146604987

You must be registered member I believe to download. Once you install the widcomm you downloaded from IBM you will need to use the patcher to patch it with device id 1131, you'll see in the drop down list.
Also, if you have other devices and want to use them with widcomm go to device manager and view info on the device, here take a look where this device id is printed:

Make sure you uninstall bluesoile before you install widcomm. Anyways, read the forum, bunch of info on these knock off copies of a some popular brand name device.

I've got this one and it works pretty well. Cheap too:

I tried a cheap one and then CompUSA's cheap one and neither worked. I exchanged the CompUSA dongle for a Kensington and have had no problems. I really did not want to take the time to make the others work. Ben

The one I got from eBay is a class 1 device. However, I can only get good distance when I have a direct line of sight (tested up to 50' so far). When I get behind a few walls, it cannot find the adapter even at distances of 20'. Is this normal for BT, or is it just because I bought a cheapie one?

Syncing is a bit slow (expected, when compared to usb2), but i was also able to set up a BT LAN connection with my 650, and i was able to test out the surfing/audio streaming capabilities of it (something I otherwise never would've done, since i dont have a data subscription)
