I've tried both Yahoo Movies and Netflix. They both lauch fine but the media player says "Insufficient Bandwith" and plays the video at like 1 frame per second. The audio is fine tho.

Palm does say that it will work, they even say they provide a link. Hasn't worked so far tho.

If I remember correctly, Treo 700p's video player supports .wmv files doesnt it?

yea it does... but even websites that play video in this format have 1 fps video, and the "insufficient bandwith" message.

Just watched the Holiday and Strangers with Candy trailers on Yahoo, w/no prob. Full motion( or seemed that way) and synched audio. Used the windows media link, the QuickTime link did nothing.

Just tried the Prarie Home Companion clip and got unsupported audio, but the video played.

Geezy, the Superman trailer gave me the same, but did play the video. Don't have a solution for ya on that. Must be a different Windows Media format than 'The Holiday' trailer.

    Jaggrey:

    In wide mode:
    Got to movies.yahoo.com
Underneath the picture from 'Cars' it there are 2 links, Watch an exclusive clip from cars and More trailers & clips. I clicked on More Trailers & clips.
On far right was link for "Trailer Premier Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet - 'The Holiday'...I picked that
Brought up a screen that had a bit about 'The Holiday' and a Heading that said "Click to watch the trailers". Then 2 links Windows Media and QuickTime. I picked Windows Media

Got a screen that said YAHOO! Movies and had a play button on a black background. I clicked it...and about 13 secs later, Kinoma came up and it buffered and played.

Hopefully, there is a shorter way to get there, but it worked for me. Many of the other clips gave me unsupported Audio format but played the video. This one played both

I followed all your steps. The video did play but it was still the 1 frame a sec or so. The audio was fine tho. Yours played smooth?

Yes smooth playback. Are you sure you are in an EVDO area? Could you have a 3rd party app installed that is interferring? If you have a backup, try a hard reset and try it with nothing else loaded. Sorry, don't know what else to try.

I get the insufficient bandwidth message too. It does not seem to buffer the video to memory before playing. Is there a setting for the memory or buffer size to collect before playing?

I'm definitely in an EVDO area. I don't have any 3rd party apps installed that could interfere. I may try a hard reset, or I'll take a visit to the Sprint store and try it on theirs. Like jcthorne said, once you get that "Insufficient Bandwith" message, it doesn't even attempt to buffer.

Do you have the Sprint or the Verizon one?
