Might format it to FAT32 instead of FAT16, this is assuming your 650 does not have the fat32 driver hack for >2GB SD cards. Performance increase would likely be negligable on the palm itself, though the card will no longer work in older palms.

You can use any label of your choosing that conforms to the fat32 naming conventions. Try to avoid punctuation and spaces for best compatibility

I have the same problem. I was told to format the card with a card reader. Will try it.

I was having the same problem with my SanDisk 2GB card. I finally was able to format it with one of my card readers (several card readers were unable to format it).

The treo will initially see the card, but if I try to format it in the Treo, I get at "Format Failed" error, then the card can't be seen again (until I remove and re-insert the card).

When I try to use the Camera app to view pics on the card, it will see it momentarilly, then the card will disappear again.

    Any suggestions?

Edit: I just received my free 1GB card from Palm. Works flawlessly. I noticed that the SanDisk card has a different contact structure. Could it be that this card is not compatible with the Treo?
