Is the Blazer connection for Mac users?

On another note, my built in Bluetooth Handsfree Kit in my car did not connect today...well, it said it was connected, but never switched the call from my phone to the handsfree kit....it's never done this before....could it in any way be related to this new hack?

    Thanks in advance everyone....
I had the same (car) issue after playing with the Treo 700p DUN / BT stuff last night. I wound up having to delete the paired car connection and reseting the Treo (again) before it would work.

after you did that, were you able to re-apply the hack?

In other words, are you able to have both the BT DUN hack as well as BT Handsfree for the car, or is there some conflict brewing?

OK, I have just had the exact same problem I posed about earlier today so it may be a bug (on the mac side??)
    1) install hack
    2) pair phone and computer (Macbook Pro) via BT and configure settings to include data capabilities (currently, SprintPCS modem script, and i have tinkered with enabling/disabling "send PPP echo packets" and "Use TCP header compression" in network settins for BT, I get this failure both ways)
    3) Make the BT modem connection via INternet Connect.
    4) surf the net happily for several minutes
    5) bluetooth peripherals stop responding
    6) internet connect hands on "disconnecting..."
    7) complete crash of the BT software on computer
    8) restart results in hanging on blue screen of death

    Anyone else having this?

My guess is that these are just instability in the Treo BT stack and PC drivers. The hack doesn't change anything in the BT layer, so it's likely just something Palm with have to fix.

Has anyone tried the same with a proper PAM account on Sprint?

Can this be done using the USB cable connected to the phone? Would not this be faster and more stable than using Blue Tooth?

I've had no crashes with Verizon tethering plan on an AlBook. It could be a problem with the MacIntels, perhaps.

I'm getting 105 kbps in Blazer, but only 43 kbps tethering. Looks like my home isn't in a Sprint EVDO area yet. Usually Boston suburbs are pretty advanced - we've had Verizon FIOS for quite some time here.

two things. First, tried my husband's real PAM account, and I was kicked off after about 7 minutes. The error message I recieved was "... terminated because the other side wasn't responding..." or something like that. However, i was using google calendar so i had been clicking and clicking on links. Grrr.

Second, I'm getting a new error mesasge on my *hacked* phone, it now terminates the connection after just a couple minutes and the error message states that "The connection was terminated by the remote site. Please try again". When I look in the sys log, this is what I see, is this meaningful to anyone?

Ok, this is the last post tonight I promise! But I did just want to say that when i looked at the log and saw idisk failures, I decided to turn off iDisk syncing, and I have now been connected (and am still connected) for 15 minutes. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is a simple solution...

I moved the file over to RAM, reset the phone, and now I'm stuck in a reset loop. Any suggestions? I'm panicking!
  13. #133
I tried this using a usb connection on Windows XP and I get "data Error 67 registration failure check username and password, if this problem persists contact Sprint." Then I couldn't connect to Power Vision at all.

I was on the phone with Sprint for almost 2 hours trying to fix this. I'm not sure if they fixed the phone or it fixed itself but finally I was able to log into Power Vision.

Any thoughts on why this didn't work for me?
  14. #134
I had the same issue with it username and password, and couldn't get onto power vision. A reset was all it took to get me back on powervision. I have no problems using BT DUN with my powerbook.

worked great!! 236 on BT with my sprint 700p via bluetooth to my g4 powerbook!!!

Since i only use it this way occasionally -- this rocks!!!

    Jimmie-
I tried to reset a number of times and it didn't work. I may hold off on this a while.

This seems to be the average speed people are receiving, I thought with evdo we are promised 400k-700k?

I wanted to know what we are supposed to do for a username and password? If you are using WinXP DUN and dialing #777 through Sprint, are we supposed to leave the username and password boxes blank?

I had a 650 and had to enter a l/p along with dialing #777 through DUN.

chymo: I had to enter my username and pw... the username is the sprintpcs email address you were given, but without the "@sprintpcs.com" part.

Basically the same setup as we had with the 650.

When I changed my password I was out of the loop for a while too... in the ned it just worked itself out. It sometimes takes 1-3 hours or so for these changes to make their way through the Sprint system and to your phone.
