    Newbie here.. I have a G4 tower,Sprint/Treo 700p, and Palm OS 4.2.2
The OS is loaded with over 900 contacts. Hot Synch crashes within one minute of start. Suggestions, advice, help... Thank you in regards and may you and your children's children be blessed with bug free computing.

Get rid of Hotsync & use MissingSync. Hotsync is a mess.

(Sorry, but someone had to say it)

Thank goodness there is another option. downloaded it and it starts to hotsync but it still crashes and gives me an error message. Is it too much to ask the mac to overwrite the handheld.

It may be that you have a corrupted database file. try using the free app called dbscan from pimlico softare to see if that is the case.

I second dbscan. Have used it many times and now it resides in ROM. It's a lifesaver.

Downloaded DB Scan and it won't open on my mac.

Doesn't run on Mac, it's a Palm app. Put it on your Treo and run it. Select Neither. Then Options > Remove All Deleted Records.
