If Sprint and Nextel are basically, of the same, does the 700p have direct connect?

    Thanks.

    No.

Nextel works with a totally different network , and also for Direct connect you need a radio that the 700 lacks, so its pretty much out of the question. to me its like a CDMA phone trying to use a GSM network.

Nextel works on an IDEN network. CDMA and GSM are your only bet.

We cant even get Sprint to release this damn Treo. i doubt they will release anything within the next 10 years. I have a dumb questiong, Does Nextel only have a contract with Motorola, are these the only phones capable of IDEN, they are so damn bulky i have a nextel and a treo and good god i feel like my I730 is almost as heavy as the Treo
